Remote Control Toys

Caleb and Kylar received a package in the mail from my brother Nick and sister-in-law Kathleen that had their Christmas presents in them. The first thing that got Kylar excited was seeing Thomas the train wrapping paper; he loves trains! Caleb opened up his first gift and it was a remote control helicopter. He was so excited! Kylar on the other hand was having fun ripping wrapping paper. Their gifts consisted of a remote control car and helicopter, some Cars toys, legos, coloring books, crayons, and candy straws.

The last few days all I have heard from Caleb is, "I want to play with my helicopter." It's the first thing he even mentions to me in the mornings when he crawls into my bed. Jesse had to sit him down and tell him that the helicopter gets sleepy and needs to take a nap, so it can charge and he can play with it longer. So now Caleb will tell me that his helicopter needs a nap and he checks on it every few minutes to see if it's awake (meaning the light has gone from red to green.) It warms my heart to see him so happy. Now if only he would share with Kylar.......he won't even allow Kylar to touch it. I don't think it bothers him anyway. He has been falling asleep with the remote control car that has flashing lights.

Anyway, yesterday Caleb wanted to take it to my parents place to show Grandpa and Grandma his new toy. My dad flew the helicopter and thought it was pretty cool and mentioned he needs to get him one. Well, leave it to my dad to destroy the toy before Caleb did. My Dad flew it into the sick full of water and as it landed it broke off a propeller. I would have to say that Caleb was a better flyer than my Dad. I thought I was going to be coming home from work to a very sad little boy, but Grandpa went to the store and bought him a new helicopter. Thanks Grandpa and thank you to Uncle Nick and Aunt Kathleen for making two little boys VERY happy.
