Christmas Eve

My little boys and I spent the morning listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas cartoons, and making sugar cookies while their daddy was off donating plasma. I sure do love sugar cookies, but goodness...I realize why I don't bake them very often. I made the dough the night before and refrigerated it so there was less I had to do in the morning, but it still took me a good 3 hours of cutting, baking, and frosting. Caleb and Kylar were just covered in dough and flour before I even got to frosting the cookies that I put them in the bath and let them play. When Jesse got home I told him to he had to do some bonding with his wife so he had to help frost all the cookies with me and he was a better froster than I was! Adding different colors to the Santa's and reindeer....such a show off.

I enjoy baking. It may be a lot of work at times, but it's calming and I love to give away yummy treats. I took some cookies over to my friends, to my parents, and the rest to the Farrer's. Definitely makes me feel good to brighten someones day.

As for the rest of Christmas Eve, we spent it with Jesse's family and a little bit with some of my family. The boys got to open up some presents that included new church shoes, clothes, an airplane, and a hummer with a boat. Caleb and Kylar seemed to understand about Santa and Caleb kept telling me, "Mom, it's almost nine o'clock. Santa is coming!" Again with this nine o'clock thing.......They loved opening up presents and wanted to keep opening gifts. Ripping paper off things seemed to be a lot of fun for them.
The little boys were being pulled around the house on a blanket.

Grandma Angie giving the kids horse rides.

Opening their gifts from my parents.

Kylar's hummer with a boat. He loved it!

Caleb's favorite toy for Christmas. He has slept with this airplane for days now.

Anyway, Christmas Eve for us is better explained in the tons of pictures I took! Finally remembered to bring my nice camera and not just use the bad quality camera on my phone.
Getting ready for bed and he was not happy about his pajama's.

Caleb loved his Santa pajama shirt but didn't want to wear the pants.
